The Story of Stuff
The Story of Stuff Project amplifies public discourse on a series of environmental, social and economic concerns and facilitates the growing Story of Stuff community’s involvement in strategic efforts to build a more sustainable and just world. Subsequent educational short films produced by the project include, The Story of Electronics, The Story of Cosmetics, The Story of Cap and Trade, The Story of Bottled Water . The Story of Stuff Project's online community includes over 150,000 activists and it partners with hundreds of environmental and social justice organizations, committed to distributing its films, curricula and other content.
Fiscally sponsored by Tides, The Story of Stuff Project uses our nonprofit management services to simplify its ability to operate so it can focus on amplifying its mission. In 2007, Tides and The Funders Workgroup for Sustainable Production and Consumption partnered with Annie Leonard and Free Range Studios to produce The Story of Stuff. Watch the video here:
