Sustainability

This website invites -- and represents -- a growing community of responsible citizens and enterpreneurs dedicated to social, economic and environmental vibrancy and responsibility.  In a word...Sustainability.  Striving for clean food, clean energy, clean water, healthful soil, healthy workers, humane working conditions for people and humane treatment of animals, while preserving incentives for hard work, prosperity and efficiency -- these are some of the goals of sustainability.  For good and apparent reason, more and more people -- Californians and others -- are coming to share sustainability's goals.

Pickles or Policies -- What Do We Want?

Policies and actions toward preserving the health, resources and economic opportunities of everyone -- not just for future generations but for present ones, and not just for Americans but everyone -- are necessary to maintain America's high standing in the world as well as the principles and pursuit of happiness that America and America's Constitution were founded upon.  Government policies should not create economic pickles. Nor environmental ones.  Thus, sustainability involves keeping our government policies moral and sensible.  Free market incentives should not be regulated out of existence, nor should they be de-regulated to where they get out of hand.  Today, many hard-working Americans and degreed students are jobless.  Many previously hard-working retirees find their health and financial security undeservedly threatened or diminished by monumental changes in America's economic policies over the years.  Countless hard working immigrants -- illegal or otherwise -- suffer dangerous working conditions as a result of lost economic opportunities in their own countries where American and other countries' policies have had negative impacts on agriculture.

So sustainability clearly means more than the prudent use of natural resources.  Sustainability means the active preservation of social capital, economic opportunity, peace, education, environment, healthy and affordable food and water supplies, access to preventive medical care, and prevention of the over-accumulation of wealth or power over natural resources and humans in places where their value is squandered.

Most Americans can remember when smoking was allowed on airplanes.  Change happens.  Green Life Studios, therefore, believes that sustainable is attainable.  Faith, action, less emotion and more facts will bring about the kind of government Americans need to get the economy going again, without compromising healthy food and healthy environments.  Green Life Studios' efforts toward sustainability will start with sustainable landscape.  Landscape, however, entails a very broad perspective.  Stay tuned for more actions and responsibility as Green Life Studios grows and grows.

Remember our pledge:  "...with liberty and justice for all."
