Creeping Sage
Salvia sonomensisNaturally gracing coastal slopes and Sierra foothills of California, this uber-short California native sage forms an aromatic carpet 6 inches high. With lilac blue flowers May through June, it can be knocked down by too much heat, and so should have some afternoon shade in hotter climates.
